Envelopes are not properly
sealed.
Stroke your hand firmly over the envelope’s flap
area.
Use SEALIT, the special sealing liquid available
from Francotyp-Postalia.
Envelope flaps are not
moistened properly.
Felts are soiled / dried out.
Clean the sealer (see chapter 16.10.1).
Fill SEALIT sealing liquid (see chapter 16.10.2).
Moistening felt is worn.
Replace rocker with moistening felt
(see chapter 16.10.3).
Absorption felt is worn.
Replace absorption felt (see chapter 16.10.3).
Moistening felt incorrectly seated in the rocker.
Correct moistening felt position (see chapter 17.5).
Absorption felt incorrectly seated in the sealer. Sur-
face is curved.
Check and if necessary correct absorption felt
position in the sealer (see page 151).
