Supported Paper Types
The following table lists the paper types supported for each paper tray, duplex module,
and the finisher.
O: Available
X: Not available
• Plain: Depending on the operating environment, certain types of plain paper may not
feed to the machine properly, or print quality may be negatively affected. Select
[Heavyweight 1] or [Heavyweight 2].
• Side 2 Paper: Refers to the paper already printed on one side (i.e., scrap paper).
• If you select [Label], [Heavyweight 1] or [Heavyweight 2], load the paper LEF. If
loading the paper SEF, printed quality may be negatively affected.
• Lightweight: If you select [Lightweight], the machine lowers the temperature of the
fuser unit when printing. Select this option when paper curls or other printing
problems occur due to high temperature in the fuser unit when it sets toner on the
paper.
• Heavyweight: Depending on the type of heavyweight paper, the machine cannot
load it SEF. In this case, set the paper LEF.
• Depending on the type of paper used and the operating environment, paper may not
feed to the machine properly, or print quality may be negatively affected.
