B. Structures for Host Connection
This appendix describes structures for host connection.
• Host group
A host group is a group of hosts that is allowed to access the volume (LUN group).
By configuring the host group, the LUN mapping settings or host response settings for the hosts in the host
group can be changed with a single operation.
• CA port group
A CA port group is a group of host interface ports that is allowed to access the volume (LUN group).
By configuring the port group, the LUN mapping settings for the host interface ports in the port group can be
changed with a single operation. CA port groups can be used to configure a multipath or a host cluster.
• LUN group
A LUN group is a group of volumes that allows access from the host.
A host LUN, which is an identifier from the host, is assigned to each volume in the LUN group.
• Host affinity
For the host, host affinity is a function that controls access permissions to volumes.
• Host affinity setting
The host affinity setting is an operation that assigns hosts (host groups) or ports (port groups) to LUN groups.
