7.2 Removing and Attaching the Side
Cover
Remove the side cover to install peripheral devices. Perform the following
procedures to remove the side cover.
7.2.1 Removing the Side Cover
1 Turn off the server and connected devices, and unplug all power cables from
the outlet.
2 Remove the foot stands and lay the server with the rubber feet down.
• Before removing or attaching the side cover, turn off the server, all peripheral
devices, and any other connected devices. Also unplug all power cables from
the outlet. Failure to do so can cause electric shock ("1.4.3 Turning Off the
Server" (Jpg.31)).
