7.3.4 Installing the Brass Adapter onto the Valve
Cover the adaptor’s threads with PTFE tape (see Figure 7-4 below).
Use only PTFE tape to seal the threads of both the adapter and
the Hydran 201 sensor. Wrap at least 4 to 5 layers of tape
around the threads.
Always wrap the tape counter to the treads.

1. Screw the adaptor onto the valve and tighten it using a pipe wrench. Ensure two
of the screw holes of the adaptor (used to fasten the Hydran 201Ti’s heating plate)
are level (horizontal); see Figure 7-5 below.
The H201Ti can be installed either on a horizontal
(recommended) or vertical valve. If installed vertically, read the
points listed in section 6.2.2.
