9. Perform a remote scan of the storage systems of the remote sites:
Perform a scan over a range that contains volumes to be defined in the copy group.

volume information (page 430).
Steps on the Secondary Host (3DC Cascade Configuration)
1. Scan the storage system on the remote site:
Perform a scan over a range that contains volumes to be defined in the copy group and
a command device (for the reverse direction) to be registered in the storage system of
the remote site.
A DAD ID assigned by a scan (Local Device Address Domain ID in the Set Defaults panel)
must be the same DAD ID assigned by performing a remote scan on the remote site from
the primary host.
For details on how to perform a scan to acquire storage system information, see Acquiring
volume information (page 430).
2. Define a path set consisting of inter-CU logical paths (Intermediate -> Primary) and inter-DKC
logical paths (Remote -> Intermediate) that are in the reverse direction (or specify a path using
Remote Web Console).
