External guide mounting
● If the parallelism between the ELECYLINDER and external guide
(horizontal/vertical surfaces) is not adjusted with sufficient precision,
malfunctions and premature ELECYLINDER damage may occur.
● When mounting the guide, perform centering for the ELECYLINDER and guide.
Make sure that the sliding resistance is constant over the entire stroke.
● Make sure that the current value is constant, using the monitoring function
of the teaching tool.
● "Rigid fixing" is recommended for the method of fixing to the external guide.
● If a "floating joint" is used, the rod rotation direction will not be restricted.
Therefore, when operating the ELECYLINDER, force will be applied to
the internal rotation-stopper in the direction of rod rotation, which may
cause premature wear of the rotation-stopper.
(Floating joints with rotation direction restrictions are acceptable.)
