The Installation Roadmap (IR) provides instructions for installing and configuring
the TS7650 Appliance hardware. The roadmap consists of the following tasks:
v Installing the fully populated frames at the customer site.
v Connecting the cables from the TS7650 components to the customer Ethernet
network and host system, and to an existing TSSC, if one is being used.
v Configuring the TSSC and KVM switch for use with the TS7650 Appliance.
v Configuring ProtecTIER RAS on the 3958 AP1 servers.
v Verifying RAS configuration and testing Call Home.
v Configuring ProtecTIER for use with the TS7650 Appliance.
v Installing the ProtecTIER Replication Manager.
v Performing validation tests (clustered configuration only) to verify system
functionality.
Finding the instructions you need
The following flowcharts show you which documents to use, and the order in
which you use them, when installing new appliance servers. All the documents
shown are available in the ship group, in hardcopy or electronic format.
