Applying cable labels
This topic provides a list of the abbreviations that describe hardware terms used
when describing cabling of the TS7650 Appliance.
About this task
Cabling of the servers, disk controllers, disk expansion modules, and TSSC
components (if purchased with the Appliance) is completed during manufacturing.
Typically, only those cable connections to the customer network, the customer host
system, and to an existing TSSC (if applicable) need to be performed at the
customer site. However, it is suggested that you double-check all cables and labels
for accuracy.
See Table 9 for information about how cables are labeled.
Note: The same label set is used to cable both the Appliance and the Gateway.
While server labels display the model as DD4 (the server model for the Gateway),
and DD4 appears in this document in some tables and graphics, interpret this
notation as AP1 for Appliance installations.
