NOTE
1. Table 2.4.4.2-1 above provides the maximum power required by each module with
the exception of the ES8GP. The ES8GP power values shown are for the switch
itself, and do not include the current draw of any connected devices. The Table
may be used to assure the PSU can supply power to the modules in a cabinet.
2. To determine the power needs of a cabinet, add the maximum current for each
module including the current for any Powered Device attached to an ES8GP
switch. Use Table 2.4.4.2-2 below to determine the current requirements of LIP
Phones attached to the ES8GP. The resulting current must be less than the PSU
capability, 5.3 amps.
3. When using an ES8GP, assure the power needs of the ES8GP and all connected
Powered Devices does not exceed the rating of the power source. The AC/DC
adaptor is capable of providing 0.8 Amps. When the ES8GP is powered by a PSU,
use Note 2 above to assure the PSU ratings are not exceeded. The maximum
current and classification signature of each LIP-8000E series phone is shown in
the following Table 2.4.4.2-2. The maximum current for the older 8000 series LIP
phones is provided in the lower Table 2.4.4.2-3 for sites that may have been
previously installed.
