AC/DC Adapter
If a PSU is not employed, assure the AC/DC Adapter is plugged into a live AC outlet and the
UCPs Power jack.
6.2.1 Using Jack splitters
Jack splitters are provided with the Line option units and the iPECS UCP100 when an option unit
is pre-installed, Figure 6.2.1-1. The Jack Splitter can be used to gain a more direct connection to
the CO/BRI lines. The splitter separates the two CO/BRI lines terminated in the RJ-45 jack so that
only one CO/BRI Line is terminated to the splitter jacks. To use the splitter, connect a standard 8-
wire RJ45 terminated line cord to the main jack in the splitter and the UCP CO/BRI Line
connector, then the separated CO/BRI Line ports appear in the splitter jacks as shown in the
figure below. Each CO/BRI line is terminated to a separate connector in the normal manner, on
