Power Management System (P.M.S.)

Connection from alternator, wire number
412 (pin 7).
Earth, wire number 600AF (pin 1).
Check fuse B5.
Check wiring to warning light.
If all above are OK, fit new ECU 4.
6 Low tractive effort at high
engine speed but PMS
warning light operating
normally (see fault below).
Sensitivity control set to minimum (when
fitted).
Adjust sensitivity control.
7 Low tractive effort at high
engine speed but PMS
warning light operating
normally. (Usually when
there is high electrical load,
possibly with noise from
slipping fan belt.)
Loose alternator drive belt causing
incorrect engine speed signal from
alternator W terminal.
Adjust alternator drive belt.
