Removal and Replacement

Clothing
You can be injured if you do not wear the proper
clothing. Loose clothing can get caught in the
machinery. Wear protective clothing to suit the job.
Examples of protective clothing are: a hard hat, safety
shoes, safety glasses, a well fitting overall, ear-
protectors and industrial gloves. Keep cuffs fastened.
Do not wear a necktie or scarf. Keep long hair
restrained.

Removal
Remove the seat and seat plate. Remove the pump cover.
Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the motors A. Plug
exposed connections. Remove capscrews B and withdraw
motor complete with drive shaft.
Important: Do not pick up the motor by the drive shaft as
this can cause damage to the balance plate.
Replacement
Replacement is the reversal of the removal procedure.
Ensure mating surfaces of motor and mounting adapter
are clean.
Lubricate a new ‘O’ ring C with grease or petroleum jelly
and fit to motor mounting flange.
Carefully locate splines of drive shaft into mounting.
Torque tighten capscrews B diagonally after fitting.
