Checking the Oil Level
!MCAUTION
Hot oil and engine components can burn you. Make
sure the engine is cool before doing this job.

1 Park the machine on level ground and lower the
attachments to the ground.
2 Stop the engine and remove the starter key.
3 Open the engine compartment top cover. K

4 Check that the oil level is within the marked area on
the dipstick A.
!MWARNING
Do not exceed the correct level of engine oil in the
sump. If there is too much engine oil, the excess must
be drained to the correct level. An excess of engine oil
could cause the engine speed to increase rapidly
without control.

5 If necessary, add the recommended oil through filler
B to the maximum level. K

6 Make sure filler cap and dipstick are secure.
7 Close and lock the engine compartment top cover.
