Changing the In-line Fuel Filter
The in-line fuel filter is located on the left side of the engine.
1 Stop the engine.
2 Open the engine compartment top cover. K

Cover ( T 3-24).
3 Slacken the clips A securing the hoses to the filter B
and pull the hoses off the filter.
4 Slacken the securing clamp C and remove and
discard the old filter.
5 Insert the new filter into the clamp and tighten the
clamp screw. Do not overtighten.
6 Reconnect the hoses to the new filter and tighten the
hose clips.
7 Bleed the fuel system. K

8 Start the engine and check for fuel leaks.

Draining the Fuel Filter
The fuel filter is located in the engine compartment on the
left hand side.
1 Stop the engine.
2 Open the engine compartment top cover. K

Cover ( T 3-24).
3 Drain off any water in the bowl D by opening tap E.
4 Re-tighten tap E.
5 If there is sediment in the bowl D change the element
F. K
