10.3 (Only for D3-DU 3x5/x) Regular function check
Some errors of safety functions can be recognized only when switching sen-
sors or actors. To guarantee the safety of a machine every safety function
(from sensor up to actor) should be activated at least once a year.
If this is not ensured by the regular process a manual activation of these
safety functions must be done and the specified switch of behaviour of the
plant must be verified.
Some errors can be recognized only during start-up. To guarantee the safety
of a machine every safety component should be switched off and on again at
least once a year.
To maintain the safety function, the relay outputs of DU 3xx/x must be
switched regularly and thereby tested. The switch/test cycle must be speci-
