2) Press ENTER to enter the display menu.
3) Navigate to the menu item CP Menu C-4 Service ► C-4 Service
Softwareupdate and press ENTER. On the display Softwareupdate
Reading Usb... is displayed.
4) Select the desired repository and start the update with ENTER.
5) Unplug of the USB stick as soon as Softwareupdate Update done is
displayed.
6) Execute a restart of the control.
The obsolete software is updated.
10.7 Replacing the device
When replacing theDU 3xx/x the correspondent application has to be loaded
onto the new module.
Only D3-DU 3x5/x
When replacing the D3-DU 3x5/x the new functional application as well as
the correspondent safety application has to be loaded onto the new module.
The CRC of the safety application has to be identical before and after the
change. If this is not the case or no data copy of the old D3-DU 3x5/x can be
done a new acceptance/validation has to be executed in any case.
To load the existing safety application on the new module proceed as fol-
lows:
1) Establish a connection to the existing device via SafeEdit or SafePMT.
2) To save the safety application on the PC, open the menu entry Connec-
tion ► Read ► Configuration binary file in the Connection Dialog.
This procedure may last a few minutes.
3) Save the file (*.TOC) on the PC. The corresponding dialog opens as
soon as the reading of the configuration and programm is complete.
4) Switch off supply voltage of the device.
5) Replace the two devices D3-DU 3x5/x.
6) Switch on the supply voltage of the new device.
7) Establish a connection to the new device via SafeEdit or SafePMT.
8) Send the saved configuration incl. programm (*.TOC) to the new device
via the menu entry Connection ► Send ► Configuration binary file.
9) Generate a DU 3xx/xconfiguration report for the new device.
Compare the CRC of this report with the CRC of the report of the old re-
placed device.
10) When you have verified the parity of the CRC the validation of the safety
application of the second device is finished.
Otherwise, the entire application must be transmitted again via SafeEdit
