7 Configuration
A KEBA automation system needs data for the configuration of system per-
formance, its I/O-devices and interfaces. The system reads this data during
the start-up operation and allocates them to its components and devices.
Configuration data is created by included configuration tools or by editing
configuration files.
For further information about the configuration see the documentation of the
included configuration tool.
For the non-safe configuration of DU 3xx/x the project planning and configu-
ration tool KeStudio U4 is used.
The safe configuration of the D3-DU 3x5/x must be executed in the safety
application of the safety control. Therefore KEBA provides the programming
tool SafeEdit.
Safety information
The operation of safety control without validation is only allowed through
qualified person!
D3-DU 3x5/x may only set operational regularly after performed validation
of safety application. See onlinehelp of SafeEdit chapter "Validation of
safety application" and safety manual "Functional safety".
7.1 Address settings
The EtherCAT slave address is allocated automatically by the configuration
tool. The address can be manually changed as required. The address must
be unique within an EtherCAT network.
Information
If the address setting is invalid, no communication with the DU 3xx/x is pos-
sible.
The IP address can be set via display on the front of the device or via deliv-
ered configuration tool and is set only after restart of the device.
