● To obtain the best result for effective EMC installation mount all system
modules together on a conductive, well-earthed, chromated or gal-
vanised mounting plate. When using varnished mounting plates, remove
the coating from the contact area!
The devices themselves have a chromated zinc frame.
Caution
Radio transmitter in a distance of less than 20 cm to the DU 3xx/x can
cause interference. Reliable measures must be implemented to prevent the
use of such equipment in the immediate vicinity .
Information
The function of the module in the general arrangement must be tested re-
garding to EMC influence of the surrounding components via suitable test.
The plant manufacturer is responsible for the adherence of the limits
claimed by law of the whole plant.
5.2 Space requirements
Ventilation slots for dissipating heat are placed at the top and bottom of the
module. The cooling system and enclosure of the module is designed in
such a way that inlet air is drawn in from the bottom side. Air flows through
the enclosure and thus cools it. The warm exhaust air is blown out on the top
side.
Caution
Make sure that the ventilation slots are not covered.
