4 Displays and operating elements
4.1 Operating panel
The operating panel is located on the front side of the DU 3xx/x control. It is
used for operation and status indication of the functional control as well as in
the system context for other components.

The operating field consists of:
● LCD display and
● 4 operating buttons
4.1.1 LCD display
The LCD display shows the following output:
● Start-up states
● Output of control messages
● Display of system menus
Information
The illumination of the LCD display is switched off if no operation is per-
formed within one hour. This extends the life of the LCD display. The illumi-
nation can be reactivated by pressing a control button.
4.1.2 Operating buttons
These buttons can be used to navigate through the system menu. Values
can also be entered and changed.
Icon Meaning
Cancel the input, exit a menu entry , go to superior menu entry
Switch between individual menu entries, reduce values for entries.
Switch between individual menu entries, increase values for entries.
