1.6 Conformity of safety fieldbusses
The safety firmware of the KEBA safety control contains so-called "safety
stacks" (for FSoE, ProfiSafe), which are installed together with the underly-
ing functional stacks (for EtherCat, ProfiNet) of the original KEBA control
packages and which have been tested and certified for their conformity with
the applicable communication standards.
If the original bus stacks of the KEBA control package are not to be used for
functional fieldbus communication, the alternatively used bus stacks must
also have passed a conformance test of the respective responsible user or-
ganizations (ETG, PNO). This is the responsibility of the integrating party
(OEM).
In the absence of functional fieldbus conformity, the respective "safety stack"
is also excluded from all certificates and must not be used as a safe commu-
nication system.
