If the raw sets of parameters are on the service USB stick, those can be
loaded to the drives via Restore Config usb.
Restore backup with option D3-DU 3x5/x
If the DU 3xx/x mit der Option D3-DU 3x5/x in addition a restore of the
backup of the safe configuration and the safe application can be executed.
To restore the backup proceed as follows:
1) Establish a connection to the module via SafeEdit or SafePMT.
2) Load the saved safety application (*.TOC) to the device via the menu en-
try Connection - Send - Configuration binary file.
3) Generate a D3-DU 3x5/x configuration report for the module.
Compare the CRC of this report with the CRC of the report before restor-
ing this backup or in case of replacing the device of the old device.
4) When you have verified the equality of the CRC the validation of the
safety application of the module is finished.
Otherwise, the entire application must be transmitted again via SafeEdit
or SafePMTto the module and the entire validation process of the safety
application (see user manual of SafeEdit or SafePMT) must be per-
formed.
The safe configuration and the safety application has been restored.
10.6 Part update selected components
Via the display menu of the DU 3xx/x obsolete software of the control can be
updated. Therefore a USB stick with a repository for the update is needed.
This repository is provided by KEBA and must be in a directory named "up-
date". Furthermore the control must be in state STOP or OsReady.
CAUTION!
During the update process, the USB stick should not be removed and the
power should not be turned off. This can destroy the firmware of the compo-
nents and makes further operation impossible.
Information
It is recommended to execute a backup before updating the firmware to re-
store this version in case of problems. This backup must be executed by
the user.
To update obsolete software on the control proceed as follows:
1) Plug the provided USB stick into the control.
