Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentorinstallinganoptionaldeviceintheserver,youneedtotake
outthenodeoutfromtherackenclosure,turnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,anddisconnectall
externalcables.
Toremoveanadapter,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Removethecomputenode(see“Removingacomputenodefromachassis”onpage77).
Step2.RemovethePCIriser-cardassembly(see“RemovingthePCIriser-cardassembly”onpage117).
Step3.Disconnectthecablesfromtheadapterifany.
Step4.PlacethePCIriser-cardassemblyonaflat,static-protectivesurface.
Step5.Removethescrew.
