Removingandreplacingstructuralparts
Thissectionprovidesinformationforremovingandreplacingstructuralpartsintheserver.
Replacementofstructuralpartsisyourresponsibility.IfLenovoinstallsastructuralpartatyourrequest,
youwillbechargedfortheinstallation.
Theillustrationsinthisdocumentmightdifferslightlyfromyourhardware.
Removingtheshippingbracketskit
Usethisinformationtoremovetheshippingbracketskitfromtheserver.
Toremovetheshippingbracketskit,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Turnofftheserver(see“Turningofftheserver”onpage29forinstructions)andallattached
peripheraldevices.Disconnectallpowercords;then,disconnectallexternalcablesfromtheserver.
Step2.Removethetwo(oneoneachside)10–32screwsfromthebracketsontherearofthechassis.
