Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentorinstallinganoptionaldeviceintheserver,youneedtotake
outthenodeoutfromtherackenclosure,turnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,anddisconnectall
externalcables.
ToremoveaLANMezzadapter,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Disconnecttheexternalcablesfromtheadapter.
Step2.Removethecomputenode(see“Removingacomputenodefromachassis”onpage77).
Step3.RemovethePCIriser-cardassembly(see“RemovingthePCIriser-cardassembly”onpage117).
Step4.Removethe2screwsofthefrontbezelandremovethebezel.
Step5.Removethe4screwsfromtheadapter.
Step6.Carefullygrasptheadapterbyitstopedgeoruppercorners,andpulltheadapteroutofthe
computenode.
