3.5 STOPPING ENGINE
CAUTION
If the engine is stopped abruptly, service life of
component parts of the engine may be considerably
reduced. Do not stop the engine abruptly except in an
emergency.
If the engine has overheated, do not try to stop it abruptly
but run it at medium speed to allow it to cool down
gradually, and then stop it.
1. Turn fuel control dial (2) at the low idle position MIN, and run the
engine at low idling for 5 minutes to cool down gradually.
2. Turn the key in starter switch (1) to the OFF position and stop
the engine.
3. Remove the key from starter switch (1).
[EMERGENCY STOP OPERATION FOR THE ENGINE]
In an emergency where the working circumstances turns to an abnormal condition or the
machine has any disorder, and it is required to stop the engine urgently, use this switch. It will
stop the engine immediately.
1. Press the engine emergency stop switch (3) and stop the
engine.
2. To re-start the engine when the emergency condition is settled,
turn the engine emergency switch (3) clockwise (as arrowed) or
pull its knob up.
The engine emergency switch (3) is restored to its position and
engine starter is enabled.
