3.25.2 POSTURE FOR PICK & CARRY OPERATION
• During pick and carry operations, keep the machine in "posture for pick and carry operation"
as below:
• Retract the boom to "10.5 meters" (3 sections) or less.
• Swing the upper structure to the front and fix the boom at the center position.
• During pick and carry operations, any operation which may change the posture above must be
strictly avoided. Otherwise, the machine may overturn and result in death or serious injury.
During pick and carry operations, keep the machine in the posture
for pick and carry operation as shown in the figure right.
1. Refer to "Operation 3.20 Boom Extending/Retracting" and
retract the boom to "10.5 meters" (3 sections) or less,
accordingly.
2. Refer to "Operation 3.18 Winding/Un-winding Operation" and
accordingly, lower the hoisted load until it nearly touches the
ground.
3. Press this mode switch (1) in the moment limiter and keep
pressing for 3 seconds or more.
The operation mode is set to "Pick and Carry Mode" and
"PICK&CARRY" LED (2) lights.
• If the boom length is "10.6 meters" or longer and where Pick &
Carry/ Stationary mode select switch is set to Pick & Carry
mode or the travel levers are actuated, the buzzer sounds and
the rated radius display is turned to an error code "E07".
To select Pick & Carry mode, the boom length must be "10.5
meters" (i.e. 3 sections of the boom) or less.
• When the travel levers are actuated to right or left, Pick & Carry
mode is automatically activated, over which, however, the Pick
& Carry/ Stationary mode select switch setting takes
precedence.
