3.21 SLEWING OPERATION
• Check the safety around and honk the horn before
slewing.
• Operate the left work equipment control lever as slowly as
possible. Start smoothly, slew at low speed, and stop
gently. Sudden lever operation especially while hoisting a
load will cause the load to swing, causing the loss of
stability in the machine, and thus may break the crane or
overturn the machine.
• Never attempt a practice to draw a load forward or
sideways, or set a laying load upright by swing maneuver.
Such practice must be attained by hook block hoisting.
Operate the left work equipment control lever (1) as follows.
• Slew counter clockwise: Push the lever toward outside (left).
• Neutral: Release your hand from the lever.
The lever returns to the “NEUTRAL” position and the
slewing stops.
• Slew clockwise: Pull the lever toward you (right).
• Adjust the crane slewing speed with the left work equipment
control lever (1) and the stroke of the acceleration pedal (2).
• Use the horn switch (3) in the knob of the right work equipment
control lever to warn of swing operation to the surrounding
area.
The rated total load is the same througtout 360 degrees,
regardless of the position in which the swinging is stopped.
