While A/C is operating, the PCM cuts the power supply off the A/C relay as shown below.

Throttle valve is opened above 87.5 %

113°C {235° F}
Alternates between 10 seconds on
and off untill engine coolant
temperature falls to 107°C {225°F}
Engine coolant temperature is above
117°C {243 F}
Until engine coolant temperature falls
below 110°C {23 F>
