Check Fuel Level
MH04M026
Fill the fuel tank at the end of each day after work
has been completed to prevent condensation in
the fuel tank.
Diesel Fuel
Use a high grade diesel fuel. The use of a low
grade fuel will result in loss of engine power and
high fuel consumption.
Fuel storage
If you keep fuel in storage for a period of time,
you can get foreign material or water in the fuel
storage tank. Many engine problems are caused
by water in the fuel.
Keep the fuel storage tank outside and keep the
fuel as cool as possible. Remove water from the
fuel storage tank at regular intervals.
IMPORTANT:
Different grades of diesel fuel are
required for summer and winter operations.
See your fuel supplier for winter fuel
requirements in your area.
Check Engine Oil Level
MD04C006
To check the engine oil level, put the tractor on
level ground and stop the engine.
Wait for 15 minutes for the oil to settle before
checking the oil level.
Make sure the dipstick (1) is pushed completely
down before checking the oil level.
If the oil level is low, add oil through the filler tube
(2), to raise the oil to the correct level. DO NOT
over fill the engine.
10 HOURS OR DAILY SERVICE
WARNING: Never refuel the machine
when the engine is hot or running. Never
smoke while refueling.
WARNING: Engine fuel is flammable and
can cause a fire or an explosion. DO NOT
fill the fuel tank or service the fuel system
near an naked flame, welding, burning
cigars, cigarettes etc.
WARNING: Hydraulic oil or diesel fuel
leaking under pressure can penetrate the
skin and cause infection or other injury. To
prevent injury: release all pressure, before
disconnecting fluid lines. Before applying
pressure, make sure all connections are
tight and components are in good
condition. Never use your hand to check for
suspected leaks under pressure. Use a
piece of cardboard or wood for this
purpose. If injured by leaking fluid, see your
doctor immediately.
