Travelling During Winter
Winter camping in your trailer can be a magical experience, offering serene snowy landscapes and the thrill of activities like
skiing. However, it also presents unique challenges that require careful planning and preparation. In this section, we'll explore
key aspects to consider for a safe and enjoyable winter adventure, ensuring your RV remains cozy and functional even in the
coldest conditions.
Truma AquaGo Electric Antifreeze kit
Your RV comes with the Truma AquaGo Electric Antifreeze Kit installed, meaning the water heater can function electrically while
in motion without propane. With this kit, the appliance can be kept frost-free while you are driving or if there is no gas supply (to
ambient temperatures of -4°F / -20°C).
Starting Up the Eelctric Antifreeze Kit
1. Remove the Truma AquaGo access door from the side of your trailer.
2. Switch OFF the Truma AquaGo at the power switch and at the Truma
CP Plus (set Operating mode to OFF).
3. Allow the Truma AquaGo to cool down.
4. Remove the plug from the holder and close the flue duct with it.
5. Close open bypass lines.
6. Turn on the fresh water supply or switch on the water pump.
7. Fill the water system.
Air trapped in the water system can cause the
electric antifreeze kit
to manfunction. If this
happens,
flush the system
to enable proper
operation of the
Truma AquaGo circulation pump
.
8. Open all water-release points (e.g., cold and hot water faucets, showers, toilets).
9. Once water flows uniformly, the water system is vented. Close the water-release points.
10. Switch ON the Truma AquaGo™ heater at the outside power switch.
11. Insert and close the access door.
12. Check the position of the plug. You must be able to see the lug through
the venting grid (as shown below).
Risk of damage in frosty conditions without plug.
13. Select the ANTIFREEZE mode with the Truma CP Plus.
