Battery System Troubleshooting & Common Issues
Issue
Possible Cause
Solution
Battery will not turn on
Battery is in shelf mode or
deeply discharged
Press and hold the power button for 1 second. If
unresponsive, apply an external charge (solar, DC-DC, or
shore power) to wake up the battery.
Battery does not charge
Charge current is too low
or battery is too cold (below
41°F / 5°C)
Ensure charge current is above 15A. If the battery is cold,
verify that the heater is enabled and receiving stable charge
input.
Battery drains faster
than expected
High power loads are
connected or heater is
cycling on/off repeatedly
due to low charge input
Reduce unnecessary loads. Ensure the charger provides
stable current above 15A to prevent heater cycling.
Battery Status Indicator
is flashing red
Battery protection mode
has activated due to low
voltage, overvoltage, or
overcurrent
Disconnect the battery and let it rest for a few minutes, then
reconnect it. If the issue persists, reduce charge/discharge
current.
Battery does not turn
off
Battery is still connected to
an active circuit
Disconnect all loads and retry the shutdown process by
holding the power button for 3 seconds. Ensure Anderson
plugs are disconnected before storage.
Heater Status Indicator
is red
Heater is disabled or
malfunctioning
Check heater settings and re-enable it using the power
button. If still red, inspect charge input for instability.
Battery shuts down
under load
Overcurrent protection
triggered
Reduce power draw and ensure circuit breakers and fuses are
properly rated for the system.
Battery will not turn off
/ flashes continuously
after pressing power
button
Charging sources are
preventing the battery from
shutdown
Isolate the battery by engaging the battery disconnect, then
try powering off the battery.
