Water Tank Heating Pads
To ensure a steady supply of water during your winter camping
adventures, it's essential to prevent your trailer's water tanks from
freezing. Water tank heating pads are a crucial addition, designed to
maintain the water temperature above freezing even in the coldest
conditions.
Instructions
1. Ensure there is enough battery charge (minimum above 20%) if the trailer is not
connected to a power source (e.g., towing vehicle alternator, plugged into 110V, or not
enough solar).
2. Turn the rotary battery isolator on.
3. Turn the WATER TANK HEATING switches on as required on your electrical panel.
4. Turn the WATER TANK HEATING switches off when travelling through climates
above 39°F (4°C).
When the trailer is stored during wintertime, keep the water tanks empty as per the Winterizing the Trailer
section within this manual to avoid unnecessary power usage.
Renogy Battery Smart Self-Heating
The Renogy Battery Smart Self-Heating function is an innovative solution designed to maintain optimal battery performance in
cold weather.
This advanced system features intelligent heating technology within the battery, ensuring it remains at an efficient operating
temperature even in freezing environments (up to -4°F / -20°C). The heating function is automatic and controlled by the battery
in-built BMS. When the temperature drops to below 32°F /0°C, the heating function will activate along with the heater status
LED indicator until the battery returns to a temperature of 50°F /10°C. By preventing the battery from getting too cold, the
Renogy system enhances the longevity and reliability of your trailer's power supply.
The integrated heating system requires the battery to maintain a minimum charge level to function
effectively. It in important to ensure the battery should have at least 20% charge for the heating system to
operate. Ensuring your battery remains adequately charged is essential for the heating technology to
protect your power supply in cold conditions.
Truma VarioHeat
The Truma VarioHeat propane-operated furnace is a high-efficiency heating solution designed to keep your RV warm and
comfortable during the coldest winter months. With its advanced technology, reliable performance and extense ducting
throught the trailer, the Truma VarioHeat ensures consistent heat distribution, making it an essential component for winter
camping.
See the provided manufacturer's operations manual and relevant Truma VarioHeat section of
this document for further instructions.
