120VAC Overload Protection
Your RV is equipped with 120V AC circuit protection to prevent electrical overloads, short circuits, and ground faults. This
protection includes
main circuit breakers, branch circuit breakers, and GFCI-protected receptacles to ensure safe operation
whether powered by
shore power or the inverter.
Main Circuit Breaker & Shore Power Protection
The WFCO AC Distribution Panel, located inside near the entrance, serves as
the
primary AC distribution hub, managing power from shore power (30A
service) or the Renogy REGO 3000W HF Inverter-Charger.
• The main 30A double-pole circuit breaker protects the entire 120V AC
system when connected to an external power source (shore power).
• If an electrical overload or fault occurs, the breaker will trip to disconnect
power and prevent damage.
• To reset a tripped main breaker: Locate the WFCO panel and push the
breaker switch firmly back into the
on (I) position.
Avoid running multiple high-power appliances simultaneously (e.g., air conditioner, microwave,
and electric kettle) to prevent breaker trips.
Inverter Power Protection
When shore power is disconnected, 120V AC power can be supplied by the Renogy REGO 3000W HF Inverter-Charger,
which converts
12V DC battery power into 120V AC power.
• The inverter does not have an onboard breaker and relies on the WFCO distribution panel for circuit protection.
• If an inverter-powered outlet loses power:
1. Check the WFCO panel for tripped breakers.
2. Ensure the inverter is turned on and has sufficient battery power.
Branch Circuit Breakers
Each 120V AC circuit is protected by individual branch circuit breakers inside the WFCO panel, preventing
overloading and short circuits in specific circuits.
• These breakers protect general-purpose outlets (GPOs), air conditioning, and appliances.
• If an outlet or appliance loses power, check for a tripped breaker in the WFCO panel and reset it.
• To reset a tripped breaker: Push the tripped breaker into the off (O) position first, then switch it back on
(I).
GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) Protection
All general purpose receptacles in your RV are GFCI-protected to prevent electrical shocks
caused by ground faults.
• First AC outlet is GFCI-protected, and it protects downstream outlets.
• To test a GFCI outlet: Press the TEST button—the outlet should lose power.
• To reset a GFCI outlet: Press the RESET button until it clicks back into place.
• If power does not restore: Check the WFCO panel for a tripped breaker.
Always use a
properly rated 30A surge protector
when
connecting to shore power to safeguard against voltage spikes, and never use
damaged or modified
power cords
when plugging into external power sources.
