Cleaning the Water Filter
1. After draining the system, locate the water filter at the water inlet connection.
2. Unscrew the filter cap carefully to access the filter.
3. Remove the filter and rinse it under running water to remove debris.
4. Inspect the filter for any signs of damage. Replace it if necessary.
5. Reinsert the clean filter and securely screw the cap back on.
6. Reconnect the water supply and test the system for proper operation.
Perform this task only when the system is turned off and cool to prevent injury or water spray.
Cleaning the External Vent
The external vent of the AquaGo system must remain free of obstructions to ensure proper airflow and safe operation.
1. Turn off the system and allow it to cool.
2. Inspect the vent for debris, insects, or blockages.
3. Use a soft brush or compressed air to gently clean the vent.
4. Avoid using sharp tools that could damage the vent or surrounding components.
A blocked vent can lead to overheating or improper system operation. Always check the vent regularly for
obstructions.
Decalcification
Hard water can cause calcium and mineral deposits to accumulate in the heat exchanger over time. These deposits, known as
scale, reduce the system’s efficiency, increase energy consumption, and can eventually cause damage. Regular decalcification
ensures optimal performance and prolongs the lifespan of your Truma AquaGo system.
Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for decalcification to avoid damaging the heat exchanger or
other components. Wear protective gloves and eyewear when handling the decalcification solution to
prevent skin or eye irritation.
Refer to the Truma AquaGo & Truma CP Plus manuals supplied for detailed information
about decalcification of the appliance.
Annual Maintenance
Schedule annual maintenance with a certified technician to ensure all components of the AquaGo system are in good working
condition. Key tasks include:
Inspecting and cleaning the burner and heat exchanger.
Verifying all propane connections for leaks.
Checking the system’s electrical components and wiring.
Testing the system’s safety features and operational modes.
Do not attempt to service internal components of the AquaGo system yourself. This must be performed by
a trained professional to avoid damage or injury.
Winterization and Cold Weather Usage
The sections Winterizing the Trailer and Traveling During Winter provide comprehensive
coverage of these topics. For detailed information, please refer to these sections.
