30 .3 Connecting a Hifi
Amplifier/AV Receiver
Registering the AV Device with the TV
• Enter the TV menu by pressing “MENU“.
• Press the yellow key to open the “AV Devices“
menu.
• Use the cursor control key  to select “Hifi
Amplifier“ in the device selection.
• Press “OK“ twice, use the cursor control key  to
select “Signal Types“, and press “OK“..
• For connection type , select the signal type
“Signal IN - SPDIF“.
For connection type , select the signal type
“Signal IN – Stereo“.
Confirm the setting by pressing “OK“
• Press the “EXIT“ key to close the TV menu.
Sound:
• To configure the sound settings of the LCD TV,
press the yellow key and use the cursor con-
trol key  to select the menu item “Sound via ...“.
• For connection type , use the V-/V+ key to
select “Sound via Hifi“ .
The speakers of the LCD TV are muted. The
sound (AC3 or stereo sound) is rendered over the
speakers of the Hifi set.
• For connection type , use the V-/V+ key to
select “Sound via surround“.
The speakers of the LCD TV are used as the centre
box. The sound (AC3 or stereo sound) is rendered
over the speakers of the Hifi unit.
