Connect the jig to the port.
• Lift the lid on the front of the carriage and pull out the jig.
• Connect the jig by pushing the tip into the port and rotating 30° clockwise.

Press the [ENTER] key to start the air purge.

Check to confirm ink flows in the tube of the jig.
• Continue air purge until no mixed ink colors or air remains. Remove the jig and press the [ENTER]
key to end the air purge.
• Air purge will stop automatically after 30 seconds. To continue the air purge, select [Retry].
• Do not repeat any of these operations for the same port. Doing so may lead to nozzle
clogging. End the air purge when no mixed ink colors or air remains.
• During air purge, press [FUNC2] to force ink discharge for three seconds.

Repeat the above procedure for the other target ports.

Press the [ENTER] key once the air purge is complete.

Remove the jig from the port.
• Turn the jig 30° counterclockwise and remove.

Attach the cap to the port.
• Vertically lift the tip of the jig and drain the ink from the tube. Any ink left in the tube may
harden.

Close the lid on the front of the carriage.
