1.5 Ink Replacement Method
When Ink Near End is Displayed
Ink levels are low. We recommend replacing with new Ink bottle as soon as possible. Although printing is
possible, ink may run out during printing.
To check which bottle needs to be replaced, press the [ENTER] key in LOCAL mode screen.

When Ink End is Displayed
The ink has run out. Replace with new Ink bottle.
Thoroughly read the following and make sure you understand its contents.
"Ink and other liquids used with this machine"(P. 12)
• Wear safety glasses, gloves, and a mask when handling ink, maintenance cleaning solution,
waste ink, or other solutions used with this machine. Leaking ink may adhere to the skin or get
into your eyes or mouth.
Insert Ink IC Chip
• Do not touch the metal parts of the ink IC chips. Dirt or damage may prevent data transfers or
result in damage to the IC chip due to static electricity.
• Insert the IC chip with the metal side facing up. Inserting it in the wrong way may cause failure
or damage to the IC chip.

Insert a new ink IC chip into the slot on the ink supply unit.
Ink IC Chips
Each ink IC chip has a marking indicating color information.
