Chapter 4 Maintenance
Maintaining the Capping
Station
Maintain the ink cap, wiper, etc. located in the capping
station. (SATION MAINT.)
The ink cap and wiper function as follows.
Wiper : It wipes off ink sticking to the head nozzles.
Ink cap : It prevents the head nozzles from clogging due
to dryness.
Cleaning the Wiper and Cap
It is recommended that the wiper and cap be cleaned
frequently in order to maintain the high image quality of
the machine and keep the machine itself in good working
order.

Press the
(MENU)
(4 times)
key in LOCAL.
MAINTENANCE MENU will be displayed.

Press the key.
STATION” will be displayed.

Press the key.
The carriage will move.

Open the right front cover.

Dip the washing liquid into the cleaning
swab, and wipe dirt of the wiper nozzle.
Wipe the places shown in the right.
If the wiper is dirty, replace the wiper (SPC -
0832).
When fitting the nozzle, be careful not to put back
to front.

Clean the cap rubber.
Wipe off the ink sticking to the cap rubber with a
cleaning swab dipped in maintenance solution for
maintenance.
Wipe off so that maintenance solution for
maintenance will not remain.
As the machine is used repeatedly, the wiper and
ink cap gradually become dirty with ink, dust, etc.
To keep the nozzle status normal, perform wiper
cleaning frequently.
Tools required for Maintenance
F-200 / LF-200 Washing Liquid (SPC-0568)
UJ Cleaning swab (SPC-0386)
Clean stick (SPC-0527)
Gloves Safety glasses Dropper
Be sure to wear the supplied safety glasses and
gloves when maintaining the capping
station.Otherwise, you may get ink in your eyes.
Do not move the carriage out of the capping
station by hand.When it is desirable to move the
carriage, press the [FUNK1] key to execute the
carriage-out. ( P.4-6Steps 1 to 2)
Even if you cleaned the wiper, when Nozzle out or
Ink dropping cannot be solved, try to replace the
nozzle.
If the dirt of the wiper is heavy, replace the wiper
(SPC - 0832).
