4.3 IP Packet Transfer Function 4.3.2 How to set the IP packet transfer function
(1) Rules for the IP address setting
The IP address of when using the IP packet transfer function need to satisfy the following rules.
*1 Set the numbers according to the range applicable to the Ethernet device used.
The range may not apply depending on the Ethernet device. Check the specifications of the Ethernet device used.

Use the same numbers for the first and second octets of the IP addresses (network addresses) of the request
source device, the request destination device, and modules between them.
Set the third and fourth octets of the IP address within the ranges described below.
The network number of the own station is automatically assigned to the third octet of the IP address of the CC-
Link IE Controller Network module. The station number of the own station is automatically assigned to the fourth
octet of the IP address of the CC-Link IE Controller Network module.
