You don’t need to be an Audio/Video expert to succeed with the Matrix System
®
. To use or program this
System, all you really need to do is follow the steps outlined in the Operation Section. To install, connect
components to, or service a Matrix System
®
, some fundamental understanding of audio/video products and
their proper connection will be necessary. Such as:
1. A basic knowledge of Audio and/or Video components and their signals.
2. The ability to read simple signal flow diagrams. We recommend that you study the System
Diagrams found in the Matrix System
®
Installation section of this manual that are applicable
to your situation. This should aid you tremendously in visualizing your finished product.
3. Effective wire connection technique, including stripping, crimping, using bullet connectors,
soldering, etc. It is extremely important to be careful and methodical when wiring your
System to avoid ground loops, intermittent shorts, or other problems that can plague the
display in the future. See pages 59 in the Matrix System
®
Installation section for more
information.
But if the whole project turns out to be more of a challenge than you’re ready for, remember that our Field
Service Technicians can come to your location to help you with your installation and/or service. Call MTi
