Auxiliary Equipment
MTi manufactures and stocks a wide variety of auxiliary equipment for installation and merchandising – from
wire and connectors to Power Supplies and Software Systems. Below is a sampling of accessory products
from MTi. Call our Sales or Customer Service Department for more information.
Switching System Installation Accessories
0102 Component Turn-On Module is used to provide 12V DC to the turn-on (trigger) lead of components
requiring this voltage, but that are connected to a Switching Module without an on-board Turn-On Strip (a
1310 or a 1320, for example). A wire is first connected to the Component Turn-On Module from a 12V
power supply. The LED activation terminals and trigger leads are then connected to the 0102. When a
component is selected, the LED terminals supply a ground signal to the 0102, which activates a relay,
passing 12V DC to the selected component.
0105 Junction Board will distribute a low-level signal to eight separate outputs. On this Junction Board,
right and left grounds are separate, but all right grounds are common and all left grounds are common.
0207 Video Distribution Amplifier receives a 1-volt video signal and distributes 1-volt video signals to six
destination components. The Video Distribution Amplifier is generally used for VCRs or monitors
simultaneously.
0220 Floating Ground/Common Ground Adapter is used to convert floating ground to common ground
between tape deck outputs and booster Equalizer inputs in car audio applications.
Wires, cables, connectors for complete installation. MTi carries a full range of these items, in all the sizes
and gauges recommended for best results. We can custom-cut wires and build cables to your specifications
to make your installation process easier and neater. Talk to our Sales or Customer Service Department for
help in ordering everything you need.
DC power supplies for components and switching. MTi carries a full line of power supplies to meet any DC
power requirements. From smaller 800 mA to 75 amp. Two power supplies can be paralleled when more
power is required. See the power supply worksheet, Appendix B, for help in determining your power
requirements.
4002 Interpreter Module allows the Matrix System to interface with the OnSite System giving access to
the popular features of both systems. The OnSite
®
System is commonly known as "button by the
component" switching with distinct pushbuttons placed near each component.
NOTE: The functionality of the 4002 Interpreter Module has been built into control panels (MVP) made
after January 2000.
