Component Selection Numbers – Bypass Chain
Figure 60 shows you what the component selection numbers will be for each component Position in a
bypass Chain, (Processors, for example), based on the DIP Switch settings used from Figure 65 on the
preceding page. These are the same numbers used when selecting components at the MVP Control Panel.
You will want to write these Position numbers on each relay (see Figure 34, page 63).
Again, the top row represents the Module’s Chain Designation, or number, in its Chain. The first column at
left represents the physical Positions on the Switching Modules; (A – H). The Matrix System
®
allows for up to
99 components on each Chain. (However, more components can be included with certain design
modifications from MTi – call Customer Service.) Refer to the System Diagrams, pages 85-105, for a graphic
representation of Modules in Chains and their designations.

67 to determine the Position Designation for each input/output Position on each Module.
