1240/1242 Switching Modules
The 1240 and 1242 modules are four-component, eight-channel, low-level relay modules that save
space and allow a lower-cost entry-level system. They also offer smaller incremental growth (four
components per relay module) and simplified component connections. Bypass connections are also on
the one board.
The 1240 and 1242 modules are fully compatible with Matrix MVP Control Panels, and therefore can
also be integrated into existing Matrix systems. Following the Matrix model number convention, the
1240 has no turn-on relays, while the 1242 includes component turn-on relays.
The 1240 and 1242 Switching Modules have four rows of low-level connections, each with its own set
of Input/Output terminals. This Matrix
®
Switching Module is capable of handling four components,
versus eight for other standard Matrix modules. These Modules will support four 2-Channel signals for
up to four audio/video components. All low level signals are linked to these Modules with RCA
connectors.
Like MTi's other Switching Modules, the 1240 and 1242 have non-directional signal paths. With the
input of a component connected to one section of the module and the output connected to another,
both sides switch simultaneously when the component is selected.
