5.5. OFFSET ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
In the Ultima you have 2 tools (drag knife and pen) with its own velocity, force, acceleration, offset (only drag
knife) settings. Each user preset holds the settings for these 2 tools.
Notes
1) Inaccurate offset setting may cause :
¾ POOR cutting quality.
¾ Difficult weeding.
2) In case the offset adjustment routine is aborted, the cutter will continue working with the value prior to
launching the adjustment routine.
To perform an offset, please follow the instructions mentioned below.
Step 1 : Install a knife in the tool head. Please do not forget to select knife in the menu.
Step 2 : Install a sheet of media.
Step 3 : Press the [OFFSET] key. The display will show the following message.
Offset
Actual : 0,50
New : 0,50
Calibration base
Step 4 : By pressing the [UP] or [DOWN] key select a value.
Step 5 : Press the [ENTER] key to confirm. The display will show the following message.
Test offset:
Cancel = no test
Up = test1
Down = test2
Step 6 : By pressing the [UP] or [DOWN] key select the “test1” or “test2”
Notes
Press the [CANCEL] key in case you do not want to perform an offset.
