OMICRON 49
CT Analyzer test cards for Advanced MR Test mode
Note: Depending on the selected standard and CT type, other or further CT data may be necessary for
a correct assessment. If the "Check "*" settings before start" option is enabled in the default test settings
for CT Analyzer, all parameters that are required for assessment are marked by a star "*" in the
CT-Object card. For more detailed information, please refer to the CT Analyzer User Manual.
VA (or Vb) *
cos Ď•
Nominal burden for the full tap combination of the CT.
The cos Ď• for the nominal burden is automatically selected according to the
standard.
CT Analyzer automatically scales down the nominal burden specified here for
the individual tap combinations available in the MR-Config. card according to
their ratios (see "VA" on page 53).
* This parameter is relevant for assessment. No automatic assessment is
available if the user did not enter data for this parameter prior to the test.
For IEEE C57.13 protection CTs only:
If the IEEE C57.13 standard is selected with the type "protection CT" (class C, K
or T), the VA and cos
Ď• parameters are not accessible to the user. In this case,
the user has to enter the terminal voltage V
b
instead.
After selecting the terminal voltage V
b
using one of the available soft keys, the
"Burden designation" field displays the corresponding standard burden
designation, for example, B-1.0. The burden designation is calculated
automatically by CT Analyzer. If you enter a V
b
value not offered by the soft
keys, CUSTOM is displayed in this field to indicate that the burden selected is
not defined in the standard.
Burden
cos Ď•
Operating burden and cos Ď• of the tap in use.
Enter the burden manually or measure the burden using the Burden card.
The operating burden specified here is used for all tap combinations specified in
the MR-Config. card. In contrast to the nominal burden (VA), the operating
burden is not scaled down according to the ratios (see "Burden" on page 53).
You could use these fields for example to simulate the CT behavior at different
load conditions after the test. Enter the value of your choice and view the
measurement results of the multi-ratio CT test for the new operating burden in
the MR-Results card (see section 9.3.2 on page 55).
