Conditions
If every CS that a PS is in range of is busy when that PS is called, the call will not be connected and the
caller will hear a busy tone.
For more information about connecting PSs to CSs, see the Quick Installation Guide for the relevant CS.
The number of digits allowed for a PS extension number is determined by the PS model. See your PS
documentation for details.
DSP Resource Usage
Making
a call through an IP-CS with a PS requires a certain number of DSP resources, depending on the
codec used. If all DSP resources are in use, this operation cannot be performed. To ensure a minimum
level of performance, DSP resources can be reserved for VoIP communication. (® 5.1.18 DSP Resource
Usage)
