WARNING: ALL CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS OF ALTERNATOR AND COMPONENTS MUST
BE MADE WITH ENGINE STOPPED. TO COMPLETE SOME CHECKS OR
ADJUSTMENTS, REMOVE THESE UNITS FROM AIRPLANE AND PLACE ON A
TEST STAND.
Troubles peculiar to the alternator system are listed in Chart 1 along with their probable causes and
suggested remedies. The electrical schematics in Chapter 91 give a physical breakdown of the
different electrical circuits used in this airplane.
After the trouble has been corrected, check the entire system for security and operation of its
components.
