(2) System Functional Check
(a) Level airplane, ± 1°, laterally and longitudinally. See 8-20-00.
(b) Place battery switch in OFF position.
(c) Completely drain fuel tank on the side(s) being checked. (See Draining Fuel System,
12-10-00.)
(d) Connect external power supply to airplane’s electrical system using APU connector.
(e) Adjust power supply unit to provide 28 ± 1 Vdc. Allow gauges to warm-up for a minimum
of three minutes.
(f) Place one U. S. gallon of fuel in the tank(s) being tested. After recording reading, continue
to add fuel in five (5) gallon (next three times) and nine (9) gallon (last time) increments as
shown in Chart 2. Verify and record gauge readings.
