2. Install the headpipe in the vehicle, and connect the
exhaust isolator to the chassis.
NOTICE
Discard the headpipe gasket.
3. Install the headpipe

and secure to the engine
using headpipe fasteners

. Torque to specification.
TORQUE
Headpipe Fasteners:
22 ft-lbs (30 Nm)
4. Install the lower heat shield

, and secure to the
headpipe using heat shield fasteners

. Torque to
specification.
TORQUE
Heat Shield Fasteners:
6 ft-lbs (8 Nm)
5. Install the upper heat shield
w
and secure to the
headpipe using heat shield fasteners

. Torque to
specification.
IMPORTANT
Ensure the upper headpipe shield completely overlaps
the lower headpipe shield.
TORQUE
Heat Shield Fasteners:
6 ft-lbs (8 Nm)
6. Install the Exhaust Muffler. Refer to Muffler Service
page 3.20.
7. Install the Oxygen Sensor. Refer to Oxygen Sensor
Service page 4.27
